Retail Branding
Point-of-sale interiors — are more than just completed design projects. Every space reflects the essence of the brand: its values, character and ambitions. Interior branding — is the visual tone of voice of the brand, speaking the same language as its visitors.
Moreover, for retail the customer experience at the point of sale is especially important — vivid and effective communications drive consumer interest. Convenient wayfinding combined with conceptually rich design creates a unique experience, the overall impression of which can occupy a unique mental niche in the customer's mind.
Brand consistency also matters — conceptual as well as verbal and visual — the coherence and integrity of all communications delivers a positive impact that will make customers return to the brand again and again.
That is precisely why interior design — is an important tool for the brand's communication with its target audiences.
The task of professionals who aim to create more than just a harmonious interior — is to forge a strong bond between the brand and the visitors who experience it, embodying its essence in the physical dimension.
View projectsInterior branding helps convey the brand's values, story and character to customers. It weaves the occupants of points of sale into that story and creates a special world that sets the brand apart from the everyday.
A creative idea realised in the interior makes it possible to influence the customer through a verbal and visual system of coordinates — with both value-driven and «native», sales-oriented messages.
Designing point-of-sale interiors in a single style consistent with the brand concept creates a stable, consistent brand image that occupies its own mental niche in the consumer's mind. And clear wayfinding in the corporate identity, integrated into the interior, will be a help to the shopper — it will warm them to the brand.
A carefully designed CJM ensures the most comfortable customer journey through the points of sale, saving the customer's resources and building affinity with the brand through the ease of communication gained.
Retail branding takes place in 4 stages:
— Audit.
At this stage we conduct research: we analyse the current interior and layout solutions, assess how well they match the brand platform, identify benchmarks, barriers and drivers along the customer journey, talk to the brand's ideologists, and carry out mystery shopping at the client's and competitors' points of sale. Based on the audit, we shape conceptual vectors that will be relevant to the brand's existing heritage and the company's strategic goals in customer communication, and we also develop a CJM that will maximise the effectiveness of visitors' time at the points of sale. In addition, a system of zoning and functional content for the interior is developed.
— Sketch design: design concept.
The sketch design serves as the basis for further interior development. At this stage we present the creative idea for the interior and make sure we speak the same language as you — we make the necessary adjustments to the presented concepts and calibrate our vision of the result.
— Design project and concept book.
At this stage we present a design project that is fully ready for implementation, meets the company's goals and objectives and consistently reflects its brand. The document covers everything — from layout solutions to certifications for finished materials and equipment. The concept book serves as a guide for implementing the design project within the creative concept and is also a tool for scaling the idea it sets out.
— Designer supervision.
This stage involves the direct implementation of the design project by the agency's architectural team. We will select proven contractors, ensure compliance with regulations, and bring to life exactly those solutions that match our shared vision of the result.
