Brand for the Eclipse haute cuisine restaurant
Eclipse is a haute cuisine restaurant whose concept is built on the "gold" standards of the world's gastronomic classics, where premium product quality is combined with the aesthetics of presentation and high standards of service. The restaurant invites guests to enjoy genuine signature cuisine and original presentation of dishes.
In 2020, the restaurant took part in the Sreda new design festival and won the Sobaka.ru "What Where to Eat in St. Petersburg" award in the Best New Restaurant category, and in 2021 it received the Golden Palm of the restaurant business in the Chef of the Year category. According to the TOP-100 St. Petersburg Restaurants award, Eclipse was named the best restaurant in the city. And our team is proud to be the ones who developed the brand of this successful restaurant.
The Eclipse restaurant is conceptual signature cuisine. The chefs' eclectic and memorable style is a symphony performed with the most relevant instruments of today. We developed a creative concept for the brand of the Eclipse restaurant, a unique space of impressions that creates a multisensory experience of haute cuisine. The restaurant's concept is built on a synthesis of unique advantages:
Conceptual signature cuisine. In the restaurant's space, modern food-processing technologies such as sous-vide and vacuum sealing meet traditional methods such as clay baking. A true culinary performance takes place here: the creative freedom embodied in the restaurant's concept yields extraordinary ideas and unexpected combinations of ingredients.
Local ingredients. Local means fresh, sustainable, from trusted farmers and with an inimitable taste. Absorbing the world's culinary heritage, Eclipse creates its own masterpieces based on local ingredients.
Harmonic intervals. The seasonality of ingredients dictates a special tempo of culinary execution. The transience, and hence the pricelessness, of such gastronomic experiences adds a special edge to the life of every devotee of haute cuisine.
Gastronomic narrative. The leitmotif of a journey, not through time but through space, can also be traced in the structure of the menu. Eclipse tells a whole story in the space of taste, where there are seas and oceans, forests and meadows, rivers, lakes and village vegetable gardens.
The key to the fullness of sensation. Wine not only sets the mood but also brings out flavour, creating a consonant sound that sets off the dishes. Wine is a fully-fledged aesthetic component in the space of haute cuisine. A special emphasis on wine is a distinctive feature of the concept.
Our team held a strategic session with the project's ideologists and discussed the vision for the project. As part of the audit stage, we also analysed the activities of competitors and their identities and identified benchmarks worth paying attention to when developing the visual concept. In addition, the core target audience was refined and defined.
Creative method. People come to Eclipse not for a familiar diet, but for an unusual, truly original approach characteristic of genuine masters. Here they play with the guest's imagination, building and subverting expectations, adding an element of piquant surprise that makes every experience fresh and vivid. Eclipse is the curator of its own collection.
Pleasure to take away. Haute cuisine, of course, cannot be taken away, but the restaurant fully understands connoisseurs' desire to enjoy delicacies and specialities at home.
The gastronomic boutique offers a wide selection of wines and handmade products that will complement a family evening, a gathering of guests or a romantic date.
Refined simplicity. The fewer ingredients in a dish, the more vividly each of them is revealed. The refined simplicity of our cuisine is achieved by combining the highest quality of ingredients with minimal processing, which preserves the natural "sound" of every note of taste and aroma.
The visual concept is based on the positioning we developed: the creative team chose the multifaceted theme of a solar eclipse, in which many polar images rest not on opposition but on interaction, as with the Sun and the Moon. It is the constancy of change, mixing and dissolution.
The complete image of a dish is a combination of flavours in which each ingredient has its own significance and complements the others. This statement is illustrated by the fluid acrylic technique, in which paints mix on the canvas while retaining their own colour. Finally, observing the sun through the SOHO satellite in the ultraviolet spectrum, we can also note the duality of the star in its very nature.
