Brand update for the KUSTENDORF CLASSIC Russian classical music festival
The KUSTENDORF CLASSIC festival of Russian classical music has been held under the direction of the world-renowned film director Emir Kusturica in the village of Drvengrad (Serbia) since 2013. Gazprom Neft has been the general partner of the project since its foundation.
Its core idea is to support young talents from music schools and academies in Serbia, as well as young talents from Russia and Belarus.
The restyling allowed listeners and participants to see the event in a new light. Details in the case.
Every summer, the ethno-village of Drvengrad turns into a space where young musicians socialise, compete with one another and, of course, create art that contributes to the development of classical music. By established tradition, the cultural programme of Kustendorf CLASSIC is formed by performances of world-class stars. This year, the festival featured the renowned violist Yuri Bashmet, cellist Narek Hakhnazaryan, violinist Khachatur Almazian and Mariinsky Theatre baritone Vasily Gerello.
In 2019, the festival received a new name. In this way, the Kustendorf brand brought together all the arts: the name became common to the film, theatre and Russian classical music festivals held in Drvengrad by the famous Serbian actor, musician and director.
Previously, the festival was called "Bolshoi" and had a "Serbian" spelling, which somewhat complicated its perception. Now the name is written in the Latin alphabet, which means it has acquired a more universal format. It was only natural to update the visual elements of the style so that they correspond to contemporary trends.
The new image of KUSTENDORF CLASSIC is a wonderful reflection of the combination of classical musical tradition and young musicians' striving for creative freedom and independence.
